Small things of God...

They were destined to live, the trapped Chilean miners. Spending 69 days in the underworld, they witnessed the shadow play between God and Satan: a match between life and death, hope and depression, courage and fear, moments and eternity. Finally will triumphed and they are back to see the cracking of daylight. Thank God!

Be it the woman who has kept aside a neat pair of lingerie to wear for the special occasion, when her lover would return from the darkness, or the children who maintained a diary of optimism for their father’s safe return; everyone of them has changed, not to speak of the miners.

And the change is this: a glorious appreciation for all those ‘small things’ in life: a note from the womb of earth, hot food sent by aid of ‘palomas’ meaning doves ( supply tubes), a tooth brush, paracetamol tablets… the list goes on. These 'small things' got equated to life proving to be invaluable.

Up here on the crust of the earth, we the blessed are making a mess of this planet. Why not change?
